Photoshop’s 20th Anniversary

Today Adobe Photoshop, the software that redefined creativity in a digital age turned 20!
And they’re really planning of celebrating tonight.
The party will take place at the Palace of Fine Arts Theater in San Francisco, where all of the Senior Adobe executives and Photoshop evangelists will attend.

To mark the event even more, they decided to offer some cool downloads through their Facebook Fan Page, that will give users a way to customize their Twitter or other social network pages. Also on Twitter, Adobe is using a #PS20 hashtag to tweet about the anniversary.

The most important thing is that The National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP) today released a special iPhone app to commemorate the software.
The app is a replica of the original Photoshop PC program, launched in 1990.
This limited-edition app allows users to modify their photos with the original Photoshop tools to adjust black/white levels and gamma! Very cool!

All of this excitement is quite understandable, and let’s not forget the impact the software had across photography, art, design, publishing and commerce around the world, and still to this day.

Happy Birthday Photoshop!
