Ever heard of Foursquad ?
It’s a location-based social network, a combination of friend-finder, city guide and competitive bar game. Foursquare lets you “check in” using a cellphone at a bar, restaurant or art gallery. It tells you your current location and if any of your friends are near by to say hello. Similar to Twitter where their philosophy is not “what are you doing” but “where are you going”?
It’s only ten months old but it already has more than 60,000 users so far.
Now Foursquare has a new special iPhone app that can add photos and videos straight from your location, called SquarePik powered by Pikchur.
This app lets you check-in on Foursquare while at the same time sending an image or a video from a place you’ve checked out.
Once you’ve uploaded your media from your location E.G – The London Eye, you can also add a comment on what you thought. Afterwards, your photo or video will be associated with that place, so anyone wanting to visit can log on to the SquarePik application, search The London Eye, and will then be able to view your content any feedback.
So don’t take any risk, let SquarePik tell you if its worth going or at least show you what the place looks like.
It’s worth $1.99, no ?
