Facebook launches a mobile version called zero

Lets admit it, who doesn’t check out their facebook account through their mobiles at least once a day?
Can’t access a computer fast enough to answer that message you’ve been waiting ages for? It’s a good thing you downloaded Facebook for your phone! Apparently more than 100 million people now access Facebook through their phone.

That’s why Facebook has decided to launch Facebook Zero. A text-only version site for people who don’t have flashy iPhones or the latest mobile tech.
This version will be out in the next couple of weeks. By doing this Facebook wants to be accessible to everyone, anywhere on their mobile, and allow operators to encourage more mobile internet usage.
Facebook already offers a slimmed down version of its site called Facebook Lite for people with slow or poor internet connections. The hope is to create better access for those in the developing world.
